In the first round of the Class 1A playoffs, Hillcrest defeated the HLV Warriors, 5-4, on July 6.
Trailing by three, the Ravens scored four runs in the fifth to take the lead and this score stayed firm for the rest of the game.
Rown Miller, a sophomore, pitched all seven innings for Hillcrest, recording eight strikeouts.
The Ravens (16-4) will host a second round playoff game against the BGM Bears (17-7) on July 9.
